Fine Arts Department Mission Statement
The mission of the Fine Arts is to develop a strong sense of the creative abilities within each person through exposure and experiencing the variety of disciplines within the Fine Arts Department. The overarching goal is that students will develop a lifelong appreciation of the Fine Arts through exposure and creative efforts in which they themselves have participated.
Fine Arts Philosophy
Our artistic philosophy is to promote participation in all areas of the Fine Arts, including music, drama, visual arts and dance for all students every year. By providing environment for creative expression through discipline, students will experience the joy and satisfaction of producing artistic works, both individually and as part of a larger group. In keeping with the holistic approach of the core academic classes, students in each arts discipline are exposed to their subjects not only through creative and performance based work, but also through studying the historical and theoretical practices of their discipline.
